We are looking for a top notch Finance Director for an entrepreneurial group of hotels, head office is Basingstoke.
We are looking for a team player to work with us in building this business over the next 24/36months and then join us on our next exciting journey in creating Country Hotels.
• This is a grown up role, and we are looking for someone who wants to make maximum impact to grow on our solid financial foundations; rather than someone who wants to ‘reinvent’ everything.
• A background, at some point, in Hotels / F&B financials is important.
• Basingstoke based, willing to spend time in the businesses, and our London office.
• We are looking for an intelligent, naturally resilient character who has exceptional attention to detail , and is finder of solutions not problems! Can do attitude is a must – ability to work in a super-fast paced environment with an exciting entrepreneurial business. We need someone who is a risk taker not afraid of using their own initiative and with a positive demean a and passionate about the Hospitality industry!
The boring part that you need to do as well!!.....
o Preparation Management Accounts for all the sites including consolidation
o Budgets and forecast
o Working with operational management to help them interpret P & L’s and continue to drive the business forward
o Cash flows
o Control over Groups banking facilities incorporating checking of interest rates and bank charges, agreeing interest roll overs.
o Control of salary & weekly payroll records inc payments of over 250 employees
o Co-ordination of all PAYE, Corporation Tax, National Insurance and VAT payments including liaison with Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise to ensure all statutory Control of Fixed Asset Register
o Preparation of PIID’s and other Y/E tax returns
o Maintaining the Tronc with the site Tronc masters
o Maintain up to date knowledge of all SSAP and tax issues and ensure compliance with all other legal/accounting frameworks. Liaison point for annual audit.
o Overall responsibility to ensure all back up procedures on computers are carried out
o Ensure financial computer systems and software are upgraded as and when necessary
o Control of insurance claims procedures administration
o Produce reports for weekly sales
