My client is the Contract Caterer to watch right now, one of the rare independent niche quality contract caterers left - not been swallowed up by the big boys! They are winning some enviable pieces of Corporate Business and they have been looking at their growth strategy for the next three years and have made a decision to expand their sales team to drive organic growth, whilst still looking at possible acquisitions but wish to accelerate organic growth simultaneously.
We are looking for a strong number two for the Business Development Director who currently leads their sales team as Business Development Director and she has a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive (telesales and direct marketing), and a Sales Assistant. So they would like to create a new role as a very strong number two for the BDD to focus on the quality B&I market, predominantly in London and the South East. They are flexible on title, essentially the BDD will continue to be the overall director of our sales function and the incoming person will be reporting in to her but specifically responsible for London B&I – it may be that they call the BDD their Group Director and the incoming person Sales Director.
We need someone who is currently in this marketplace, understands quality, trend, what is current, and is used to selling into quality clients and selling a quality, fresh, bespoke offer. You need to be a self-starter, lots of enthusiasm, a real foodie, and hungry for success.
In terms of salary in the region of £55k to £60k plus commission.
