Contract Caterer London – Niche Small Quality, Family Feel Reception Services
SALARY: £45k
REPORTING: to Business Development Director

This well-known niche contract caterer and 5 star Reception Service operator with an enviable reputation for quality and really listening to their client’s needs, is looking for as Business Development Manager for this London centric business.
You would be involved in the sales process / tenders from the planning stages to presentations. Ideally you will be working for one of the larger players and wanted to be a bigger influence for a small Contract Caterer/Reception Services operator or selling for a similar sized business (£15 Million TO) and wanted a career move. My client would also welcome someone from an operations background who has the where withal to move into a Sales role.
Ideally you will have experience of being the key person at meeting new potential clients for the first time and then over time developing relationships with prospective clients
As with any sales role there will be an element of getting involved and inputting your ideas with the tender process, helping add these ideas to any tender document and then being part of the presenting team to the clients.
This would suit someone who is down to earth with a sense of humour, is hard working and willing to muck in –this is not a big corporate - more like a family where everyone helps each other – great warm and supportive culture!
There will also be the opportunity to get involved in Marketing and help shape the Marketing Strategy of the company. And you would need to be open to supporting operations if needed as this is an all hands on deck culture where it is all about the client and the team!
Taken as a given that you have great communication skills, impeccably presented, perfect written English, computer literate on Excel and Word, and must be able to demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen
Ideally you would be currently in a Business Development or an operations role with some understanding and experience of the bid and tender process as well as some experience in marketing
Personality wise really would suit someone who is enthusiastic, with a can do attitude, someone who is self-motivated, has a genuine passion for food and service including an understanding of a range of food trends in London right now as well as having good knowledge of reception services within the London market!
Most importantly for me is their personality rather than their experience so I am hoping for someone with a real drive and passion to succeed

Salary £45,000 to £55,000 plus package
