Job Description

This food driven fabulous contract caterer is seeking a hungry, foodie energetic Operations Manager who really does love their food and is super with clients! You would be looking after around 10 high profile Independent Schools, turnover around £5 million. you would be joining a family feel hugely successful contract caterer so you need to live and breathe food...we really would like someone who is on trend with their food knowledge, knows their numbers and is hungry for success! In this industry it is all about having the emotional intelligence to engage with clients and really look after them so fantastically well. This is a marvellous opportunity for a proven multi-site operations manager to join this reputable high quality independent school caterer with an outstanding reputation for looking after its people and clients and above all LOVES FOOD!
You need to have an understanding of the independent school sector ? as they have a totally different way of operating from the state school sector, you do not have to have worked within such schools ? may be you have a link with one through connections outside of your day job. Each client has a bespoke catering offer and you need to someone who is at ease with talking to and building up relationships with senior bursars and head masters and mistresses of these public schools, who like to talk about cricket and rugby as well as their schools!
The company has a family feel about it and unlike the big corporates everyone helps each other so you need to be willing and able to get stuck in and be visible in your clients premises not an office bod. You will be able to draw on some great expertise from your Head chefs so need to know what good looks like in terms of food and presentation – and be a strong leader and motivator of people! The senior team are genuine foodies and incredibly hands on in the business ? not office bound and this really shows in the business ? nothing is too much trouble for one of their schools You would be joining a company that has been having an unstoppable and formidable year of success and it is hugely exciting time to be joining them!




Salary £ 50,000 plus car plus bens
