Head of Wine/Head Sommelier

We are looking for a brilliant Head of Wine/Head Sommelier for this group of luxury laid back hotels. You will be an expert in all that is wine – someone who can champion wine for this collection of luxury small hotels of the world – as well as putting together the wine lists for the three restaurants and bars, there are also two farm shops which sell wines & champagnes. We are looking for someone who can motivate and train the teams across the 3 hotels, really get your teams excited about the wines! There are a great number of our spa members and hotel guests who have a keen interest in wines, their provenance, and keen to know what to pair them with in the restaurants and at home, so there is an opportunity to present to them at weekly events hosted by you! You would be reporting into the Owner of the Collection of luxury hotels so this is a great opportunity for you to be part of a thriving ambitious hotel group with two more properties ear marked for development over the coming 6 months, allowing you to play a key role in the strategy of wine for the collection working closely with the Owner/ Entrepreneur. Ideally you would live not too far from the largest of the three hotels near Newbury – voted by the Times as The Best place to stay in the UK 2022..but be happy to travel to the other two sites – Hampton Court and Rutland when needed.
We need someone self-motivated upbeat positively energised, warm, friendly, down to earth with a genuine passion for wine who would like to take up this key role for this growing collection of hotels at a key time of their growth.
