Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and outgoing assistant manager to work in a busy multi-faceted commercial food service environment for a high profile contract caterer in SE London. This role is tailor-made for someone that wants to work hard with no 2 days alike and have the opportunity for career progression with a great people-oriented company. This would be perfect for someone that wants the opportunity to manage and influence a business and work hand-in-hand with the GM. The various cafes are open 7 days per week and offer all-day food service using only fresh seasonal ingredients as well as having ample space for events throughout the year.



The requirements for this position are:



- Proven experience with running a successful retail operation and/or food retail operation and delivering exceptional customer service

- Responsible to coordinate all activities for the restaurants and events/functions

- Have a hands-on approach with the daily running of the restaurants to include supporting and covering with limited staff

- Support the GM with rotas, hiring, training and development of staff and appraisals

- Support the GM with your financial responsibility to include; working to a tight budget, P&L, attending meetings when required, ordering, wages, invoicing, etc

- This role requires nothing less then excellent leadership, communication and written skills and the absolute determination to be the best



Qualifications and experience:



- 1-2 year’s previous experience working in retail or a food retail environment

- Management and/or Food & Beverage qualifications are desirable for this position

- Knowledge of the F&B industry in London would be desirable



This is a 7-day operation and as the assistant manager, you would be responsible to the GM to ensure the business is running successfully at all times. This position is about the personality and desire to be the best; we want a strong number 2 that will support the GM with the continued success of the business.
