Description We are looking for a dynamic and strategic senior events specialist to be the liaison between the contractor and client for this very high profile venue in North London. The senior events specialist would be responsible to work closely with the on-site sales team, events staff and run and oversee the extensive events and hospitality at this high profile venue. The role requires a senior events specialist that is operational, has an eye for detail, passion for food and people and will deliver the standards required.
The requirements for the Senior Events Manager:
•Proven experience with running a successful multi-million pound commercial operation and delivering exceptional customer service
•Responsible to coordinate and oversee all activities for the venue with a vast amount of high end VIP events/functions
•You will work closely with the contract caterer and client to ensure that the standards of delivery exceed the expectations of the client
•Meet clients face to face for show rounds, tastings, etc
•Have a hands-on approach with the day to day running of the operation, managing the logistics, building and retaining a great relationship with clients
•Responsible for the recruitment, training and development of staff, leading the team from the front is essential for this high profile position
•Full financial responsibility to include; P&L, budgets, working closely with the sales and marketing team, invoicing, etc
•Excellent leadership, communication and written skills are essential for this position
Qualifications and experience for the Senior Events Manager:
•1-2 years previous experience as a senior manager in a similar role in a busy high end hospitality or venue management
•Management and/or Food & Beverage qualifications are essential for this position
•Ability to manage the client/contractor relationship to ensure contract retention and increased revenue stream
•Extensive knowledge of the F&B industry in London would be desirable
•Proven ability to contribute to function sales growth through sales and marketing skills, techniques, systems and personal influence
•Immaculate presentation, outgoing, excellent communication and customer service skills are required for this highly visible position
