C & E Venue Sales Director
A new and exciting opportunity to join high profile Stadium in Salford has arisen, due to recent success we are expanding the team and looking for an outstanding Venue Sales Director. We have a stunning range of Meeting Rooms & Conference Suites holding a number of events ranging from 2 to 1,000 delegates. As our Venue Sales Director you have an opportunity to make the venue the chosen destination in the North West for concerts and music festivals due to the vast space around the Stadium.
Summary of role
Your main responsibilities with be to generate new leads, closing deals in order to grow the non match day profitable revenue, developing and implementing strategies across the area of responsibility to grow the C&E business. Delivering innovative solutions to potential clients in line with business objectives, achieving and maximising targets. Also be managing accounts and building relationships with existing client as well as those that you bring on. You will be working closely with our outstanding operations team, establish and maintain a committed and engaged team throughout the sales process, to ensure all new business is a commercial success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
•Accountable for preparing and presenting excellent sales proposals; that are well written, financially viable and present innovative and appropriate market leading solutions. Assisting operations when required with expert advice and support for rebids
•Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through pipeline development and creating profitable, solution focussed bids, by working closely with finance and operations. Responsible for reviewing the current market to identify future opportunities for growth.
•Responsible for managing the sales process from creating first appointments to closing the sale. Assist operators in planning and delivering effective mobilisation of contracts, co-ordinating with relevant support functions.
•Pro-actively selling external space for concerts, festivals and roadshows and also securing large volume corporate business through national account management.

To be successful in this role you will:
•Strong background in conference and events from a similar environment
•Experience of account managing national conference booking agents
•Past experience of large volume C&E accounts
•As the venue sales director you MUST be organised, a confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to bring new and innovative ideas to the table
•Strong experience in driving the pipeline through proactive sales into a variety of C&E markets including exhibitions, concerts, road shows etc
•A strategic individual with detailed commercial acumen and a real hunger to achieve.
•Experienced in producing high end financial reports and presentations
•Experience of managing a team of 5 plus direct sales reports
•Vibrant, self-motivated individual who can work well under pressure
•Exceed sales targets, with a drive to succeed

Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekends.

Salary & Benefits
£40,000 pa plus bonus OTE £4,000
