Retail Catering Manager – Hertfordshire - £28.000

A fantastic opportunity has just come up for a Catering Manager to work with a national supplier of contract catering within a leading retail store brand to manage the onsite Customer Cafe.

The ideal candidate would have retail background and a strong character to manage a busy and demanding environment.

This is a 7 day a week operation and flexibility is required.
You will be working weekdays, weekends and evenings as needed.
You will lead a small team and work closely with the front of house manager.
The chef manager would be responsible to provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals.

The responsibilities for this position are:

• Managing and motivating the team to produce very high standard and quality food

• Ordering, costing, rotas, working to budget given and achieving the targets set by management

• Training and development of your team

• Ensuring all shifts are covered

• A can-do attitude

• Adhering to all company policies and standards to ensure the highest performance and quality of food and service at this site

• Qualifications and Experience:

• Catering qualifications NVQ 1 and 2 or equivalent

• Excellent presentation, excellent communication and written skills

• IT literacy is required for this position
