Description Sales Manager – Heritage Venues London/South East
My client operates in the Exhibition and Indoor Concert Venues, Cultural & Heritage and Day Visitor Attractions, and outdoor concert, social and sporting events markets.
It is a caterer offering a fresh and exciting approach to operating indoor and outdoor cafés, restaurants, bars, hospitality and stand catering, conference and banqueting services and ‘pop-up’ temporary food and drink outlets. They provide exceptional catering for all occasions and pride ourselves on offering our clients and our customers with welcoming, innovative and flexible experiences.
Main Responsibility of this role:
To identify and target new clients within the Culture & Heritage Retail sector to provide catering services. Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and support the delivery of mobilising and maintaining new contracted opportunities.
Operational
• To maintain an effective system for identifying prospective new business within the Heritage Market
•
• To manage and deliver all tender processes from the initial expression of interest through to contract gain, negotiation and supporting with the mobilisation.
• To continually develop the collateral and processes that support and enable the effective sales opportunities to be formed into competitive and profitable tender responses.
• To research and maintain accurate data on all aspects of the marketplace.
• To support with any retention activity that may take place within the company.
• To drive the growth of this successful company in-line with the company Business Plan and to contribute to the shape of the Business Plan as appropriate.
• To report at pre-determined intervals to the directors on the sales pipeline and new business activities and to provide timely feedback regarding performance.
• Controls sales and marketing expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• To deliver innovative solutions throughout the tendering and retention process.
• Liaise with clients before, during and after each sale is completed.
• Work closely with key functions of Culinary, Marketing, Risk Management and HR to constantly bring innovation and new ideas to the business and sales process.
• Provide input to the directors and contribute, as required, to overall business strategy and the wider development of the market within the company

• Act as an ambassador to retain a positive spirit at all times.
• Demonstrate the highest standard of personal presentation at all times.
• Manage and support staff to ensure optimum efficiency, presentation and customer communication.
• Attend any training courses as requested.
Commercial
• Proactively enhance the commercial performance of the business at all times.
• Work within the financial controls and framework of the business.
• Seek ways to improve the service we provide our customers and increase overall customer satisfaction.
• Remain perceptive to innovative ideas and share best practice.
• Ensure selling opportunities are maximised using effective merchandising material and techniques.
Salary
£55,000 plus 50K Bonus
