Our client operates in the Healthcare industry providing catering and related services for a range of prestigious care and welfare clients. They pride themselves in providing high quality, fresh food with excellent service and offer their clients flexibility, innovation, ingenuity and partnership. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to be responsible for a team managing the operations at 26 sites with a turnover of £9m in the London and surrounding area.
The Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating the teams to deliver catering and related soft services, ensuring contract standards are met, financial and business performance targets are achieved and that the highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained at all times.
This is a strategic role for someone looking to build their career in a progressive and well recognised company in the Care and Welfare market.
Key accountabilities include:
• Providing high quality catering and soft facilities management to agreed service standards and budgets;
• Delivering profitable growth on the contracts through understanding client needs, maximising the services delivered and championing excellent customer relations;
• Monitoring service delivery against quality and performance standards and ensuring legal and statutory compliance;
• Full P&L responsibility for the contracts;
• Building a cohesive, disciplined team, with strong commercial acumen;
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills / qualities:
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Catering Craft training and proven experience in operations management
• A focus on achieving objectives through people and team development
• Able to demonstrate diplomacy and strong relationship building skills
• Commercial flair with an eye for opportunities, not willing to compromise on service standards
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
• Self-motivated and the ability to work in a pressurised environment
• Ability to lead and a team player
• A 'Can-do' attitude
