Job Description
Our client is one of the worlds leading service companies with operations spanning the globe.

Just now they are currently seeking a confident and experienced Finance Director with a proven track record to work in one of their Strategic Joint Ventures to support their rapidly expanding business in Kazakhstan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Joint Venture Finance Director to become part of a large global company. It is a rotational or localised role based in Atyrau � Kazakhstan. You will have overall responsibility for managing the financial services function for extensive contracts across the country.

As a member of the JV Management Team you will report directly to the JV Managing Director and Country Finance Director and will have overall responsibility for providing commercial support to the Management Team, ensuring business decisions are financially viable in addition to producing financial reports for group and statutory purposes.

Your Key Objectives:

� Give Commercial support to Country Management Team to ensure business decisions are financially viable;
� Build a strong Financial Team;
� Produce financial reports for group and statutory purposes on time and in correct format;
� Actively contribute to the Country Management Team ensuring it is fully aware of all commercial issues and opportunities;
� Respond promptly and accurately to queries from Group and other stake holders;
� Pro-actively support safe working practices in all activities;
� Support business systems growth strategy;
� Support the Managing Director and Country Finance Director with strategic market appraisals and potential growth opportunities in Kazakhstan.

Your Key Responsibilities:

� Take lead role in managing commercial issues on behalf of senior management team, advising Compass Group plc as appropriate;
� Manage the companies financial reporting requirement and timetables;
� Develop and implement strong financial management systems across the Kazakhstan business;
� Lead team of qualified and semi-qualified local staff in all aspects of Financial Management, cost accounting, debtors, creditors etc;
� Ensure highest standards of ethics and governance apply to all financial dealings;
� Routinely conduct internal audits to satisfy international accounting and audit standards;
� Identify and mentor strong local �Future Leaders�.
Our ideal candidate:

� Proven Senior Finance experience within a multi-national company
� Minimum of 5 years in a CA level role
� The preferred candidate will have a basic understanding of the Russian language
� You will be a confident communicator
� Prior experience in an accountancy firm / department
� Service industry B to B preferred
� Managing local tax and local regulatory environment in diverse businesses
� Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related business discipline
� CA or CPA or International equivalent
� Preferably managed a team on NO MORE than 20 in the past

We are looking for a hands-on individual who will ideally consider living in Kazakhstan, although a rotational basis may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

This is a single status appointment and living costs will be paid for whilst in country.
