High Profile Defence Catering Contract
This is really a wonderful role for either a strong Deputy GM or even someone who is a GM in a smaller operation and wants to take on more responsibility currently and wishes to work in one fast paced multi-faceted place every day! This is a very well-known Defence site for the MOD and we are looking for a strong manager who really knows what great looks like – the sky is the limit it is a new opening for my client and they really want to wow the clients with producing fabulous food and service! You would be working for a world renowned foodie innovative fun contract caterer who would be able to offer you outstanding and secure career progression, so you would be running their new flagship client as GM Designate when the Account Director is not on site! There are multiple restaurant and café and hospitality offers so although all on one campus the sites are separate from one another so you would be a multisite manager even though the job title is Deputy General Manager. You would cater for roughly 2500 meals a day including the staff. Being a high profile Defence contract you will be overseeing all aspects of the food experience from Breakfast to lunch to the evening meal – it is of course a 7 day a week operation but you would only work 5 days out of the 7 of course… you don’t have to have experience of working within the Defence sector, just need to be a real foodie who wants to be based in one place doing a fabulous job for your clients! You would be managing a team of around 45 and this is a prize jewel in the contract catering market – a real chance for you to shine and be associated with such a prestigious client and such a stunning catering operation to be part of. You need to be a hands on manager, be visible, be confident and have the presence to command respect from your team whilst having the natural people skills to communicate super professionally with your clients. You will really take ownership and come up with your own innovative ideas with your brilliant chefs and chef manager, someone who is passionate and ambitious and wants to see their career path ahead would be a great fit…we need someone ambitious as you need to have the ability to stand in as overall Account Director on site on a regular basis and in time be promoted to the number one role….
